What Is A Bridal Shower?

A bridal shower is a party given in benefit of the bride by close friends and relatives which includes gifts-giving generally those that would be useful in setting up a new house. The bridal shower is arranged a month or so before the actual wedding day and involves celebrating the wedding in advance on a miniature scale. Often the planners of the bridal shower along with the invitees decide beforehand on what gifts would be given by each in order to avoid the same kind of gifts being given again.

More often than not the bridal shower is held at the home of a close friend who would be the bridesmaid at the wedding or in a restaurant. A bridal shower is an informal occasion to eat, drink and have fun and as involves a theme based party based on the brides likes and includes a number of activities and games. An elaborate gift unwrapping ceremony is held often in the middle of the party or sometimes at the end.
