How Do You Housebreak A 4 Week Old Puppy?

What I did to housebreak my dog was to put him outside every hour during the day . It took 1 week and it was done but sometimes it can take a little bit more time. It takes a lot of patience but it works and its worth it.

Yelling at the dog is not a good idea. You want him/her to respect you but not to be afraid. Slight spanking on the butt would do the trick, but it have to be done right away on the spot, otherwise the puppy may not understand why you are punishing him/her. So if you cash the puppy peeing, punish (slightly) right away and take to the place where this kind of businesses should be conducted. Patience and consistency is the key. When you see that your puppy did the business in the assigned place praise him and give a treat. Dogs are smart they will figure out what makes you happy and what don't.

when it goes pee in the house yell at it and when it uses the bathroom outside praise it and give it a treat...it might work?

As a dog obedience trainer, any "trick or deed" is usually nothing but discipline. I would simply take the puppy outside each day after the puppy either drinks or eats. Repitition is the key to success!!Patience also has to be met. This is a new life to this big and crazy world of ours! I also took away water after 7 pm. Drinking usually makes a little one want to go.If it messes in the house, show he/she what they did, and then take outside. Don't rub their noses in it though.Good luck!
