What Does Squinting Mean?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Squint is a short word for asquint. When someone looks at something with his eyes partly closed, he is said to be squinting. If you are in bright sunlight, you squint. Squinting is a continuous tense of this verb 'squint'. Squinting also means 'glancing sideways'. Looking away or askance when you disapprove of something, it is termed as squinting.

When something is said to be squinting, it is considered to have an indirect orientation or an allusion. Squint means 'to suffer from strabismus'.
