My Friend Was Raped And Is Suicidal. How Can I Get Her The Best Help She Needs?
I have a friend who was raped 4 months ago. Its hard for her to talk about the incident but she needs help (she has horrible flashbacks.) When advised to try counseling she attempted suicide after the first session. What should I advise her to do?

She realistically might need intense in house therapy. Where they can watch her after sessions to make sure that she isn't going to hurt herself. If her parents are aware of this, then they should be willing to do this for her own good so that she can work through the trauma of it all. I remember feeling disgusting after I was raped, and often thought of the same things. But believe me, it is probably the best thing out there for her. If her parents don't know you need to tell them for the safety of your friend. My sister was raped and tried to commit suicide so I know what you are going through. Therapy works for some, but not all and talking about the incident makes things worse. Maybe karate would help her if she felt like she could defend herself she would fell more confident. Is she pregnant?
