"Aneto" the highest peak in the Pyrenees which run between France and Spain is the highest summit of this mountain range. It is at a height of 11,168 feet or 3,404 meters. The mountain is located in Huesca, Spain. It has another name in French "Pic de Nethou", but as the mountain belongs to the Spanish side the use of this name is becoming obsolete.
At 3,075 meters Mount Posets is the second highest mountain and Mount Perdu at 3,340 meters is the third highest summit of the range.
The Pyrenees form a natural barrier between France and Spain. Only the central part of the mountains running east and west is where the glaciers are formed. The mountains contain several spas and springs along with scenic and picturesque views and scenery.
