How Can I Cancel A Mobile Phone Contract?

Answer Question

Contact your provider, the company that you signed the contract with. I suggest you do this formally in writing, as you need proof of when you cancelled it.
You need to know that many of these contracts are for one or two years, and have penalties. So what the mobile providers do is offer these contracts with an offer of a free or low cost, latest range, phone as a sweetener.
Most people are so dazzled by getting the new phone "for free" that they fail to pay attention to the contract. In fact they pay for the phone many times over.
For this reason if you are an individual, and not part of a company deal, the best option is an independant, pay as you go, deal. Where you top up your credit from an ATM, and you have your Sim card given to you, as part of your starter pack, which you buy at the start.
