    Aberdare is a business city in the county region of Rhondda Cynon Taff. This region is located in the established Glamorgan County, which is situated in South Wales, at the joining together of the Dar and Cynon rivers. This city is situated 4 miles south west of Merthyr Tydfil and 24 miles North West of Cardiff.  The population of this very place comprise of 31,619.

    Aberdare, with the clerical parishes of St Fagan's and Aberaman imprinted out of the antique parish, had twelve Anglican churches, one Roman Catholic church, which was built in 1866 at Monk Street near the site of a cell attached to Penrhys Abbey. It was at this time that there were over fifty Nonconformist chapels. some of the villages found here are Aberaman, Abernant, Cwmaman, Cwmbach, Cwmdare, Llwydcoed, Penywaun and Trecynon.
