Where Is Edinburgh?

Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland is located in the south-eastern part of the country; it is one of the best known tourist places not only in Europe but in the entire World. Edinburgh has throughout history been synonymous with the Scottish culture and has up to the present nurtured its distinct cultural identity reflected in the many festivals held here each year in the month of August like the Edinburgh Fringe, Edinburgh International Festival and The Edinburgh Military Tattoo with the famous Hogmanay Street Party providing the finale.

The Edinburgh Castle has become one of the most well known symbols of the city along with the surrounding hills which present a truly picturesque setting of the city, straight from the fairy tales.
