How Come My Dog Want Urinate When I Take Him Outside?

It has been a whole day now and my dog has not urinated. I asked a question earlier about his runny nose? Which was answered. I will be taking him to the vet, but just wondering what causes a dog not to urinate.

A few more details might help.  Did you just get the dog?  Exercise stimulates elimination.  Take him out and walk, walk, walk.  They can only walk and hold it so long.  When nature finally has its way, lavish praise on him.  I frequently use that technique before taking a puppy in a public place.

Take your dog to places where other dogs have urinated, trees fence posts, fire hydrants etc...after he has been excersized, the smell of another dogs markings will elicit the response you seek.

Believe it or not maybe he does not like you watching him. Or he  just does not like going outside. Here is a page for this topic. Different dog but same symptoms.       En.allexperts.com/q/Husky-Huskies-2538/urinate-outside-1.htm
