The book the "Cult Of Crime" is part of the Hardy boys case files series. Thus one can easily guess that the author of this book is the very famous, Franklin W. Dixon.
Holly is Frank Hardy's very good friend, who has joined a cult. The cult's guru calls himself Rajah and he promises all frustrated teenagers peace, if they leave everything and follow him. Then he brainwashes his followers and makes them believe everything he says. Now the Hardy boys get the news that Holly is become follower of Rajah from her worried father, Emmet Strand. Thus the boys, Frank and Joe Hardy, also join the cult. However a stupid move on their part makes them an important part of a ritual of human sacrifice. But the smart boys somehow manage to escape that place with Holly, during which Joe kills Rajah's right hand man. But Rajah has complete control on holly and has brainwashed her to kill the Hardy boys. Whilst on the run, Rajah's men give the boys a tough chase and Frank ends up taking a bullet and Holly attacks Joe. But both the boys survive the attacks.
The book gets its biggest twist when Rajah finally gets hold of holly's father and threatens to kill him. Rajah then reveals that he is Emmet Strand's first wife's son and now seeks vengeance from his biological fathers for leaving his mother.
But the boys somehow stop him in time and the police nab Rajah and put him behind bars. The book concludes with holly apologising and leaving the country along with her father.
