Are there any specifications as to how you are supposed to do the survey? I mean, there are different ways of conducting a survey, like interviews, questionnaires, or even case studies. I suggest in the case of availability, target segments and buying power of different categories, a survey questionnaire will be the most appropriate option. You can make three different questions concerning availability: to be given to retailers or shop keepers and potential buyers. You can ask questions like, "is this product available in your store?", or "is it easy for you find this product?" and many other related questions.

For target segmentation and buying capacity or power of different categories you can make questionnaires to be answered by your target audience; for example teenagers for gaming websites. You can ask questions like "how much is your pocket money?" "Do you spend a lot on eating out/internet gaming/shopping?" "Where do you go to shop?" The answers to all these questions will help you come to a generalization and you can further present the results in the form of a pie chart.
