What Are Weirdest Superstitions That You Can Think Of?

Don't open an umbrella in a house = bad luck
don't walk under ladder = bad luck
don't cross the path of a black cat = bad luck
if a bird flies inside your home = someone is going to die close to you
throw salt over your shoulder= unsure why
don't break a chain letter = bad luck
palm of hand itches = you will receive money
get a bump on your tongue = telling many lies

those are the only one's that currently come to mind.....

The ones I laugh about are the these, if you have a planters wart, cut a potato in 1/2, rub it on the wart, and plant it, it will make the wart go away.
The other is about the hillbilly theories. They sometimes to the silly dances, or rituals to bring good luck, or to ward off evil. Like turn around 3 times in a doorway to bless a home for newlyweds. Gotta love that huh? One of my favorite, laughable ones is this, if your nose itches, you are supposed to kiss a fool. (I usually give my husband or one of my kids a kiss, and then I rub my nose, they get a kick out of it).
