    Parents,What Was Your Reaction When Your Teen First Told You That They Were Gay? Did You Throw Them Out The House Because You Were Not Prepared For The News That They Told You,how DOD You Handle It?

    I am gay and I have been put out the house 4 times 4 years ago, I guess my dad wasn't prepared for the news, but that was 4 years ago, I am trying to move on with my life, I am going to be 20 on January 19th, I have a right to be with the person I love, oops I don't have a significant other yet, but I will have one soon one day, I am stds negative, oh I am new to this website, it seems to be like yahoo answers in some way.

    I am a father of 4 children. If one of my children came to me and told me they were gay it might upset me, however since that has happened i can not say for sure. However I would accept my child, good , bad, gay, straight, however they are. As parents we have a responsibility because NO child asked to be born. As parents WE brought them into the world and we need to love our children unconditionally. Maybe there are other factors involved. Maybe hangups that your father has about sexuality. Have you tried talking to your mother about your fathers view?
