I Don't Know Much About This, But Why Is It That We Can't Find A Way To Stop The War In Iraq?
All I can say is that I realize why we can't bring our men home right away, but is there really any way to stop this war at this point? I think we should pull all of our guys out and bomb the hell out of the areas that are causing the problems. I feel that the middle east is far too volitile an area at this time.

It is a pathetic situation in Iraq and it is getting more and more worst day by day. I think the reason behind this situation is that there is no elected government in Iraq. The present one was imposed by the US on Iraqi people. That is why there is so much resentment about the Americans. The people in Iraq are fighting for their country's freedom and pride. They want all the foreign forces out from Iraq but these forces are not willing to leave unless and until their motives are achieved. God knows what their aims are as they say they are fighting a 'war on terror' but they have ruined the beautiful country of Iraq and did not achieve any success yet with such highly explosives amunition and armoury. The effect of this war will be seen in the whole world. This wiil increase more hatred against the US, and especially, against President George W Bush.

There seems to be great concern among Americans that our handling of the war in Iraq
will cause more hatred of the U.S. from people in other countries. Americans have heard this since the First World War in 1917. As soon as America became a force on the international stage other counties have worried about their loss of power and prestige. In the First World War when America's envolvement in that European conflict
helped turn the tide of a bloody stalemate soon the allies we assisted began to find fault with us. The French and British were mad because they needed our help and the Germans disliked us because we helped the French and the British defeat them. One thing I have observed time and again that in history there are certain patterns that can be observed that have helped me to figure out what is about to happen, again. World War Two followed on the heels of the First World War (called The Great War until the world had a second one twenty short years later).
When we went to war in Iraq we joined the list of many other invaders of that region who all believed that they truly had legitimate reasons for doing so. As Carl von Clausewitz in the 19th century once said " War is a continuation of politics by other means."
With all the demonstations on both sides of the issue, and all the emotions that that brings to the surface, with all the young men and women that believe that they are fighting the good fight, join the armies on both sides, when politicians here and there make speeches, with catch phrases to trap the peoples minds so that the people's ability to sort out the illogic from the logical the world will always have wars. Some say that the first casualty of war is the truth and that might be true. There is nothing that hasn't been thought of or done under the sun. For the past is very much the present.
