 Cordell was a diplomat of the US. He was an American public official who did the ground work for creating the United Nations. He has also been the Nobel Peace prize winner in 1945. He also served in the U.S House of Representatives, where he wrote the first income tax bill in 1913.

At the same post, he also wrote the inheritance tax law in 1916. He served as the secretary of Franklin D. Roosevelt and served briefly in the U.S Senate. He worked on international agreements to reduce the high tariff barriers. He also helped to improve U.S relations with Latin America through the Good Neighbor Policy. Hull planned an international post war peace keeping body after the World War II. Hull placed great attention to the International economic relations.
