How To Get Clay Out Of Fabrics?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Clay stains (red or not) can be removed from clothing easily. You should first let the clay on the fabric dry as much as possible. Once dry enough brush the stains to scrape off whatever you can. Rub the stain using some soap or deep fabric cleanser. Leave it on for about 15 minutes and rinse with water. If you want to avoid using soap, do not worry, you can also use a solution of borax and water. Vinegar is also effective in removal of clay stains. Just rub some vinegar on the stain and keep it aside for 15 minutes and rinse with water. If you still can't get the stain to disappear, use an enzyme pre soak. Add a cup of ammonia to a gallon of water to pre soak for about 10-30 minutes. You can also use bleach in case of white cloths.
