I Want To Sell Some Items Online On My Own Website. Is It Safe To Include My Address?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Customers do like to see an address or any other contact details when purchasing anything online, as it usually makes them feel more reassured that the business is legitimate.

You may wish to be selective about which details you include. Perhaps you could ask people to contact you via email, and then you could answer to any questions that wary visitors may have.

Alternatively, you could provide at least one contact number, either your home number or mobile number. Your mobile number may be the best option if you don't feel comfortable with providing your home number.

Obviously if you're part of a major company then you will want to provide your address so that customers can write to you or visit you. If you are not a major company and you are just selling a few items online then you may want to be more cautious about showing your address.
