How Many Satellites Are There In Pluto?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Pluto has three known natural satellites namely Charon, Nix and Hydra. Compared with the rest of the Solar System moons mars are in a closest proximity than other satellites to their respective planets. The Pluto-Baron system is the largest known binary system in our Solar order, usually called a dwarf double planet for that reason and both are known to be tidally locked to each other. The other two moons orbit Pluto approximately at a distance 3 times the distance of Pluto from Charon.
