In this way you can start interacting with the people of your surroundings and can convey your message in a more effective way.

Hi, I am studying English too. I am studying by myself.
I used a book 'Spoken American English: Elementary course' William L Clark (Author). This book has a CD. Listen CD then speak yourself.
I have a another book 'Understanding and Using English Grammar'Betty Schrampfer Azar (Author). I heard Canadian English school use this book. Maybe this one is easy to buy in US.
Also I check internet news
