Danny Almonte was born on April 7, 1987 in the city of Moca in the Dominican Republic. He is a baseball player who was a left-handed pitcher for Rolando Paulino All-Stars, which is a Little League team from the Bronx, New York.
During the Little League World Series, Danny Almonte was caught in a media frenzy because his parents lied about his age. They said that he was born in 1989. But this was not true because his actual birth year is 1987. He was really two years too old to play little league baseball. Despite his lies and his media frenzies, his team went on to win third place in the 2001 Little League World Series Championships.
Danny did not speak English at the time of all the media frenzy as was not even aware of what was happening. He currently holds the best pitching record in Little League World Series history.
