Thanks, but according to the administrative judge who presided over the unemployment compensation hearing, quitting that firm was the best thing. The insomnia was getting worse and I still suffer daily with flashbacks of the mistreatment I experienced while working there. I appeared at the hearing my sworn Declaration w/Exhibits. I retained copies of every email I sent to office manager and the managing partner of the firm and included them in my Declaration as exhibits to the judge. I went through the chain of command for help, but, unfortunately, nothing was ever done to alleviate the situation. The administrative judge ruled in my favor and I received retroactive unemployment compensation benefits until I found a new job. I have never heard your term "mental shock" in my years as a legal professional, but I think you mean "mental distress." Well, I would like to add "constructive discharge" to the mix and the lies in my performance review is "libel" and it was unfair treatment which has taken a toll my emotional wellbeing and right now, I'm praying for a miracle.
