Can Dumbledore Be Dead?

This was a time when all the Harry Potter fans were either crying or searching the net for any clue that it might not have happened. Yes, that was a time when Dumbledore died, casting a gloom over the whole wizarding world…………

Numerous theories have been put forward; most of them trying to prove that Dumbledore is still alive.

One of the most famous theories is that Severus Snape might not have aimed an Avada Kedavra curse on Dumbledore. He could have simply uttered this curse without actually meaning it. He could have non-verbally cast another spell on him to make him appear dead. Later on, Dumbledore might have awakened in Hagrid's safety, and disclosed the whole matter to him. It could easily have been pre-planned between Dumbledore and Snape.
Another theory is that it might not have been Professor Dumbledore, after all. Perhaps it was Professor Slughorn under the influence of Polyjuice Potion.

But all these theories are thrown aside by J. K Rowling saying that Dumbledore is really dead, and there is no need trying to form gobbledygook theories about him being alive.
So the most sensible thing to do now is to swallow the bitter pill and stop throwing silly theories about him being alive. He is dead and it has been verified by Rowling herself.

He really is dead I am afraid , but he lives on his portrait in the headmasters office, so that's great news!

Unfortunately he is.  He dies in the sixth book "half blood prince" by snape when draco was unable to kill dumbledore himself.  Sad i know i had to reread the passage twice before i believed it.  However he does live in his portrait in the new head master's office so people can still talk to him.

Albus Percival Wolfric Brian Dumbledore did in fact die, he put on a cursed ring and he was destined for death but he told Severus Snape to kill him when the time was right. Severus did kill him when Draco Malfoy couldn't. Merlin rest his soul.
