    Collegeboard.com offers online SAT registration, but depending on your location a university or community college near you may offer registration for testing and/or testing on-site.

    And yes you can take the SAT or ACT test with a GED. The above websites and www.sat-secrets.com may be able to help you prepare for the exam and tell you what to expect from your testing center.

    Those websites will also give you the cost of registration, which varies depending on the type of SAT testing you want.
