Roman Catholicism is the major religion of the Republic of Ireland followed by the Protestant denominations. From here, in order of most to least, follows Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jehovah's Witness, Judaism, Pantheism, Mormonism, Quaker, Baha'i. There are also about 200,000 people claiming no religion (Atheism, Agnosticism), 9,000 claiming other religions, and 70,000 who did not give a preference. This is from a 2006 census. Wikipedia.org
