What Are My Rights?

California, My roommate wants me to move out in 3 weeks, so someone else can move in. Neither have signed a lease or agreement. We both turn or share in to the landlord every month. I have never been late with the rent. What can I do if she removes my belongs from the room I rent?

You don't have any "rights" you share the costs and neither of you are on the lease.  She as you has as much right to the property.  If you want rights sign a lease.  That makes you solely responsible for the lease and if she leaves you’re stuck finding another room mate.  It could be good either way.  If she removes your belongings from your room you really have no recourse because you have no lease.  My suggestion: Get something in writing to protect yourself.  Fast!!

If you both are sharing the rent then no need to compromise just tell her to move out because you have done nothing wrong with her i believe.. So you are not suppose to move out of the room.. No harm tell her coolly... Everything will be ok..

You need the landlord to mediate. If nothing else, landlord will be aware of problem.
