When A Deceased Person Leaves Money To Certain People Isn't The Executor Obligated To Notify Them Even Though He Or She Doesn't Think That There Is Sufficient Funds To Carry That Out?

Two people where mentioned in a will leaving them some money and weren't even notified that they were mentioned in the will. I accidentally found that out a month after her death when I also learned that I was still the beneficiary of her insurance policy. I only found that out because my signature was required and that they were pursuing a letter of disclaim from me.

Yes, the executor should inform you about the will as you are the beneficiary. The executor looks to be a crooked person and might be thinking to cheat you with some method. But you came to know it in time and now you can take legal action against him. My advice is not to take this matter to court and warn the executor not to repeat such mistake again.
