My sons red ear slider has light pink behind his ears and it used to be bright red and also the part of his skin under his shell is white. Are these things normal? He eats well and is very active, but his color does not look like it used to.

The red eared slider are semi aquatic turtles and spend their time in warm water. The problem which you are mentioning can be due to change of his habitat or due to pond conditions.
