    The Legislative Assembly remained the legislature of France from October 1791 till 1792. After the dissolution of the National Constituent Assembly and before the creation of the National Convention, the purpose of this legislature was to focus upon revolutionary law-making and political debate. This Legislative was responsible for introducing the Left-right Political Spectrum. This is still in common use. The Legislative Assembly and its legislature played an important role during the time of the French Revolution.
