How Can I Send The Leave Application To My Boss?

Leave applications submitted for approval from the boss should be submitted well ahead of time if you wish to get approval. This helps the boss prepare for covering the time that you will not be available. Make sure you are very clear on the days that you wish to take off, also do not forget to mention the reason for taking leave. In case, it is your annual leave that you have accrued, do mention the same.
Once you have typed or written your application, you can submit it through different channels. The most dependable and efficient channel is through email in today' world. Bosses look at email at all times during day or night and even when they are travelling or are in meetings. Hence this is probably the quickest way to bring your leave application to his notice. However, I will highly recommend that you mark the email as acknowledgement due such that you get an email when he opens your leave application. This way you can be sure that he has read your email.

If you do not use email as a mode of communication, you can leave a handwritten or typed note with his secretary and follow up later to find out if your leave has been approved.
