I don't know who told you this, a doctor? I can't understand why anyone would question wires or not, but I would think that wearing wires would give her more support and might be more comfortable for her. I am 34B and I wear wires to add a little to what I have, and I've had a chest surgery with scarring all the way underneath both breasts. I didn't wear a bra for 3 years, but when I was able to again, I went the wires. I might suggest a sports bra for when she is active and exercising, but everyday use, go with whatever she is most comfortable with.
