Howling in dogs is some type of communication in which they send signals to other dog who is away from them. In case of domestic dogs Howling can be due to
    1. Lonely less
    2. Getting bore
    3. If dog sleep out side all the night
    4. sometimes dogs howl when they listen any loud sound
You can take following steps to reduce the Howling Contests.
    • Bring your dogs in for sleep during night if they stay out
    • More exercise.
    • bring some toys to play fro them.

That's a normal activity, unfortunately I don't really know how to stop them.  My two dogs have gone through a German Shepherd dog training program and they still do it.  I just try to distract them when the start it up.  Best of luck.

Well, here are some reasons :

Are there young kids living close? A lot of dogs don't like small kids.

Cats? Or rats? Rabbits? And other small animals?

Is there something wrong with them? Are they in pain?

Hope some of these help x
