    Cardiff international Airport is situated in Rhoose, which is 12 miles from the city center of Cardiff.  In olden times, Cardiff Airport was located at Pengam Moors. The current airport construction started in 1941.  The runway was set up in early 1950s and Aer Lingus started flights to Dublin. Next a new terminal building was constructed flights to France, Belfast and Cork were started.  After there were lots of efforts for expansion and these let to expansion of capacity of the Terminal building, development of lounges, and easy access road constructions.
    In April 1995, the Airport Company was made private and a Welsh property and development firm, TBI Plc.  Took over. After this this airport has grown successfully and today Cardiff International Airport has passed its two million passenger target for 2006. Cardiff International Airport is one of the UK's fastest-growing airports today with flights going all over Europe and also to other continents. A List of destinations are given below.
