What Is The Purpose Of Romanesque Art?

    The Romanesque art preceded the Gothic art and it was the art in which monumental forms were created. This style of art was mostly used to portray religious images like saints and the events in the bible. These monuments were mostly used for architectural decorations.

    Purpose:
    We can see many monuments reflecting biblical events in the creations using the Romanesque style. The basic purpose of using this style was to make the Christians consider about their faults by expressing the biblical events in a direct way.

    Examples of such creations are Last Judgment, Crucifix and others.
