When a light ray incidents on a surface it makes an angle with the surface, known as angle of incidence. When this ray reflects back it again makes an angle with the same surface, known as angle of reflection. Following are the two points of the law of reflection;
- The incidence ray, the reflected ray and the normal ray lie in the same plane.
- The measure of angle of incidence is equal to the measure of angle of reflection (m<i = m<r).
