It was the first time in China that someone used teaching as an instrument to introduce reforms – Confucias was the first person to do it. In his efforts, he tried to leverage the governmental policies in the benefit of the people, by securing an administrative rank, nevertheless the Chinese rulers were not too keen to empower him any position in the administrative order as they considered Confucias a real peril to their authority. Having been failed by the selfish Chinese rulers, Confucias preached his ideology to younger people and later on went on to seek government posts for his trained disciples. The style of his leadership was heavily inspirational, as it did not contain the imposing elements of authority and dogmatism. His notions of a wholesome and co-operative functioning mechanism to run the affairs of a state were of a novel nature in those times, nevertheless they rang a note of fresh appeal amongst the masses who were enduring the burnt of the authoritative and autocratic rulers.
