    If you are inbetween a choice of being under dressed or over dressed, the theatre always demands erring on the side of glamour. Over dressed is it, whether you are attending an afternoon or evening preformance.

    Slacks are quite permissable, especially if you add a bit of jewelry and perhaps heels. You will be sitting, thus giving your feet several hours to rest. You will see people in everything- jeans, dresses, suits, etc. Wear what you are comfortable with, but do enjoy the fact that the theatre is not an everyday event and dressing up can be quite pleasurable.
