How Will I Train My Dog?

I have a 3yr-old Japanese Spitz, and until now he doesn't know any tricks. How should I train him so that he knows even the basic tricks?

When I was training my puppy I need a lot of advice and information about how to train a puppy.
I found a wonderfully helpful website  www.training-puppy.com. This website
has articles about general training, potty training, crate training, biting,
chewing, leash walking, and more. It also provides a catalog to order products
you need for your puppy, even great training videos. The products are of a high
quality and they provide free shipping. It is the most convenient way I have
found to obtain needed information and supplies. If you need to train your
puppy, I recommend   www.training-puppy.com as the best
way to get everything you need in one convenient place.

Consistincy is key!! Don't get frustrated(they will sense it) Use treats or toys.(mine likes her treats) Work with your dog with no distractions around, for about 10mins or so a few times a day. Change location aswell, in the house, backyard, driveway and so on. Praise, praise, praise!!! Old dogs CAN learn new tricks!! Good luck!

Start with a basic obedience class to learn the basic commands as well as the fundamental skills and techniques involved in dog training.  The instructor will give you a schedule to follow and can assess progress.  Training really helps strengthen the human-animal bond.  Dogs are smart, social animals and really enjoy the mental stimulation from class and learning.
Positive reinforcement is always important.  Usually when training it is us, the people, who are the problem and doing something wrong--trainers often work more on training us than on our dogs.
Have fun working with your dog!
