When Is The Best Time To Have My Pregnant Chihuahua X Rayed To See If The Puppies Are Positioned Ok For Whelping?
The vet told my 45 days into her pregnancy. Is that to soon.

Yeah this is too soon i think so and the best time is to get x-ray in the 60 days of pregnancy so that you can know about new born puppies and about their position.

Calcification of the fetal bones takes place at about 45 days... But there's no way of knowing when the last pup was conceived, so unless you have money to burn... Wait until at least the 8th week to be on the safe side.

Sixty days sounds about right because the pups sizes will be seen and their positions. This will help the vet and you to know if she might have any problems when the time comes for the whelping. Keeping your vets phone number close by is important. Good luck. Enjoy the puppies.
