There were strengths and weaknesses on both the sides during the war of the American Revolution that started after the Declaration of Independence was signed. For King George, all of those who had signed the Declaration of Independence were traitors and would be sentenced to death in case the American colonists lost the war of the American Revolution. As for the comparison of the two armies, the British army was the most powerful army of the world and had all kinds of modern war supplies that would help them against the American colonists.

On the other hand, the American army was not accounted with all of these luxuries and the indomitable experience of the British army. Nevertheless because the War of Independence took place in the colonies, the British army was not as well acquainted with the areas as the colonists were as they had been living there since many years. This concluded the strengths and weaknesses on both sides nevertheless a strong bout of overconfidence of the British army and some excellent leadership by George Washington was what led to the British defeat and the American victory in the War of Independence.
