The market is full of great new laptops, and it can be pretty baffling to choose one that is going to do all the things you need it to.
Luckily most new laptops are fitted with all the features you'll ever want - apart from maybe an instant coffee machine!
For £800 you can get a decent, fast machine which will no doubt have inbuilt wireless and maybe even a TV card, which means you can tune into Lost on the train, for example.
Examples of some recommended laptops under £800:
- Acer Aspire 9500 Series: An entertainment notebook with TV tuner and 17" display. Retails around £700.00.
- Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook C: for all round performance, integrated wireless networking and Pentium M processor. Retails at around £780.00.
- Dell Inspiron 1300 Pentium M: with DVD writer and wireless LAN 15" screen/
