What Is Canon Of Scriptures?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Canonical Scripture is Scripture sanctioned by the Church, i.e. The Party Line, with no awkward inconsistencies like the Gospels of St Thomas, Judas or The Hebrews to spoil the message. These other books are referred to as Apocrypha, because the Church would like to pretend they don't exist. Even within the canon, there are several books in the Catholic Bible which are excised from the Protestant Bible for the same reason.
