I just bought this game and i was doing just fine batting other gym leader until i made it to heart home and ready to battle the gym leader but she wasn't there and my Pokemon is level 45

Just get a hand full of grass and electric type pokemon before battling the fifth gym leader in pokemon platinum/diamond/pearl.
