Can Fever Be Caused By Irritable Bowel Disease?
I have pain in my lower abdomen. I was told it is probably a gas bubble. However I have 102 fever.

Hi LindaE - I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well today. I worry from what you say, that it could be appendicitis or something of that nature. I think you should call your doctor for an appointment today, and if the pain is really severe that you drop in to some type of Qucik Care or emergency room. Please let us know what happens.

Irritable bowel syndrome is a abdominal disorder that is characterized by cramping, abdominal pain, constipation and sometimes diarrhea. However, the symptoms vary from person to person and also depend on the intensity of the disease. Fever is normally not a sign if this disorder. So you probably have some other problem. Its better if you get a complete checkup from your doctor.
