In my experience, Lust last for a short time, while love can last a lifetime. The ideal would be to maintain some lust for the person you love. That's the tricky part. The passion HAS to be there from the beginning and when you're in Love, you just have to work a little harder to keep it going.

I think love might be defined as caring about another person's happiness, peace, and comfort at least as much as, and as in the case of a good marriage, more than you care about your own. It is as fine a feeling as one may ever know.
