In Hinman's Ethics, He Distinguishes Between Two Meanings Of The Term "Jihad," Explain.

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Jihad has a basic meaning of sacrificing ones self for Allah.  This may be in different forms and the two basic classifications are what Hinman has mentioned.  Jihad is not nessecarily to die in the way of Allah--that is one side of it, but there are other meanings to jihad.
