    It is the third largest city of Scotland. It has large population of about 202,370. It is also called as the 'Silver City' or 'Granite City'. The city has many bridges, statues, churches.

    Aberdeen city is also popular as the ' Chief Commercial Centre' and the 'Seaport' on the North- East side of Scotland.

    There are large oil deposits in the city. Hence this city is also known as the 'Oil Capital Of Europe'.
    The city gives good services for the extraction of crude oil.

    The city has the 'University of Aberdeen'. It also has the facility of further education. It has good transport such as railway station, bus station and an airport. It has theatres, art galleries and museums.

    Aberdeen city had battle. This battle was on September 13, 1644. This battle took place between Royalist and Covenanter forces. It was an engagement in the Scottish Civil War.
