Where Does Christopher Mean In Greek?

I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions.

    The original Greek name was Khristoferos. It comes from Khristos, "Christ" and "pherein" to carry or bear. The early Christians used this name a lot, as it had the idea of "carrying Christie, in the heart.) Later this developed into a legend, that St Christopher had literally carried the young Christ across a river (hence the St Christopher's medal still often worn by travellers.)
