John Ray Grisham was born in the year 1955 on 8 February. He was a former politician, a retired lawyer and also an American novelist. He was extremely famous for his written work on modern legal drama. This great novelist was born in Jonesboro, and was the son of a construction worker and also a cotton farmer, while his mother was a housewife. He has four siblings and he was the second eldest among them.
After moving for sometime the family finally settled in 1967 in the town of Southaven in De Soto County, Mississippi. Grisham finished his graduation from Southaven High School. He has a lot of pressure from his mother towards studies due to which he became a frequent reader. And he was completely impressed by the work of John Steinbeck and he totally admired him and his personality including his work too. In a interview he said that it normally takes him six months to write a novel and that his all time favorite author was John le Carré. He further describes himself as a 'moderate Baptist', he has also given a lot of services at the church, specially in Brazil. He has spend his life with his beloved wife Reneee and his two children Ty and Shea.
