The district of Shepherd's Bush is a district of West London. It is located in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It is situated at a distance of about 4.9 miles (approximately 7.9 kilometres) west of Charing Cross. Although it is primarily a residential area, it mainly focuses on the main shopping area of Shepherd's Bush Green. Shepherd's Bush Green has a small shopping centre. It comprises a supermarket, a cinema hall and a gymnasium, apart from a large number of small and independently-managed outlets which sell different varieties of merchandise.

It is bordered to the south by Hammersmith, to the east by Holland Park and Notting Hill, to the north by Willesden and Harlesden and to the west by Acton and Chiswick. The controversial musician and former boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, Pete Doherty, is a native of Shepherd's Bush. The soccer club, Queen's Park Rangers (QPR) plays its home games at Loftus Park in Shepherd's Bush.
