Why Can A Man Get Ready For An Event Ten Times Faster Than A Woman?

Great question! It made me laugh just thinking about my husband and I getting ready to go somewhere together!

Soon after I select what dress I am going to wear, my husband calls me to help him pick out his slacks. I go back to my dressing and get called again by him to make sure his shirt matches those slacks.

He has very short hair, and I have to take time to comb mine and spray it to make sure it stays the way I want it. And of course sometimes I do wear make-up!  

My husband has two pairs of shoes, black and brown; usually he jumps into the one closest to him. I have a larger selection and try to match them somewhat with what I am wearing!

For sure I could pull a pair of socks over my feet much faster than "wiggle into a pair of panty hose!"

And nothing irritates me more than my husband getting ready first, and then sitting in the car waiting for me to join him!

A lady has to do her nails and her make up; she has to make sure she has the right shoes and clothing to match the event she is going to. Women take longer because men know what they are going to wear like for instance jeans and t shirt or a suit or casual clothing. Most women have more clothes than men so have more choice of what to wear and what shoes to wear with it and then there is the nail varnish to match it all then the lip stick and don't forget the hair  - that is most important. So it goes on and on.

This of course depends on the woman. Not all women take forever to get ready.
Not all women are interested in putting on lots of make up and find that they are sometimes ready before their partner. for example, any woman who has experience of Scotsmen and others who choose to wear Highland dress will know that men takes ages to don this dress. Some men can be incredibley vain and take a long time to decide what to wear.
One of the reasons women take ages to get ready is that they have so many other things to do before thay can think about getting ready. Perhaps they have to sort the children out, iron clothes for herself and her partner, so perhaps if some of the other tasks were taken off women they could get ready faster!
